Well, the transition went a lot smoother than I had anticipated. The boys are officially off of formula and onto whole milk! YAY!! Just thought I would share as I was asking thousands of questions and panicking about it a while ago, but it went very well!!

I just finished up this transition - and at this point I'm only still giving a bit of formula to use it up!

for PP that asked for tips what I did was slowly transition them (mine had dairy issues in the beginning and were on soy formula since 2 mos old)...but I would put 2 oz of milk and 4 oz of formula in the bottle - then after that went ok I slowly upped it an ounce every few days until now my son is drinking just milk and my daughter still gets a bit more formula because she isn't totally sold on the taste of milk...

Thanks everyone! To be honest as far as how we did it...they just weren't drinking their formula anymore, as if they didn't like it. So we thought we would try whole milk. I did 3/4 formula and 1/4 milk just to see if they like the taste. When they didn't throw it up or spit it out, then I gradually increased the amount of milk and decreased the amount of formula. It didn't take very long and they are finally drinking a normal amount of liquids again.

Yay!!! That's awesome!!! We were in the middle of transitioning and they either have their reflux again (I had stopped the Prevacid about a month ago) or a tummy virus so we're back to all formula right now...hopefully we'll be able to start transitioning again soon...they money savings are wonderful!! Congrats!!!

Wow, looking at your tickers, it looks like I better get started soon!! Jacob and Mia have colds now, so I will wait a little while until we are all better. How many ounces of milk are giving and how many bottles?
