By way of introduction

    Hi Everyone!
    I'm new here and expecting di/di twins in April. I thought I might give a bit of my back story by way of introduction. My husband and I have 5 children. Emily-10, Callie-9, Sara-7, Laurie-5, and Mitchell-18months. I had my first 4 children in about 5 years and then when my youngest was under 2 discovered I had breast cancer(2009). So I went through a single mastectomy and chemo and Praise God I am cancer free as far as I know! I had Mitchell since the cancer and now we are looking forward to twins. :)

    My journey with this pegnancy has been a bit differrent. In the beginning it seemed normal until I got really sick and had bleeding bad enough I thought I was going to miscarry. However, the bleeding slowed down and through bloodwork I found out that my hormone levels were very high and thought we might be dealing with a molar pregnancy or possible multiples. Then through an ultrasound at 7-8 weeks found out we were indeed expecting twins! Since then things have been going pretty good. At my last u/s we found out that there is one boy and today we have another and hope to find out what the other one is. I'll let you know what I find out!

    Welcome Welcome!! I bet your older kids will be so helpful and excited for those twins! And Mitchell will probably be grateful for another boy in the family.

    I thought I should let you all know that everything looks good with the babies according to the u/s I had yesterday. The babies are growing fine and are about identical in size. They also did a cervical length check and that was great,too.
    We also found out that we are having a boy and a girl. :) So now we can get serious about picking names.
