We are starting to look for toddler beds for our girls and wondering what others experiences are/were with their beds.

We got regular twin beds from IKEA, although they are really low to the ground and I have heard people refer to them as toddler beds. We love them and have been really happy with them. The great part is that I won't have to replace them in another year or two!

FWIW, I am going to skip toddler beds and just leave the box spring out of twin beds for a while till they are ready for that. I don't think it's worth the $$ to get the toddler beds.....

We got toddler beds from BRU and we really like them. They are a black finish and look nice with both a girls and boys sheet set. They weren't very expensive and fit their crib mattresses (which I think helped the transition somewhat... same mattress, same sheets, etc). Most BRU's give a twin discount on toddler beds. The one we ended up at (the first two we went to didn't have two black beds in stock) didn't give us a discount... grr! But if you do go to BRU, make sure you ask!

Sounds just right for my girls. I love Ikea and is so easy to take the girls to shop there. Do you know the actual name, or could you describe them a little better? As they have so much. Will be getting them for when they turn two or maybe a little before.

    Thanks

Have you tried Craigslist? There are so many cute beds on there because they have such a quick turnover. We bought our ds an adorable firetruck bed that retails for over $150 for $40. It looked brand new.

We bought some basic white ones off Craigs list. They were 20.00 each. The house we are in now, the room will not fitt two twin beds and a dresser so this was our option for now.
