i want to try out oatmeal this weekend and dont have a problem making it. i saw recipes on wholesomebabyfood.com for steel cut oats and water. should i make it or just purchase either the earths best, gerber or beechnut.

what do you think is better for the kiddies?

I think that depends on what you feel like doing. I used Gerber and Beechnut oatmeal. I think either way is a good choice.

I used the Gerber or Beechnut (whatever was on sale or I had a coupon for). It was just much easier for me. I made a lot of baby food, but when it came to cereals, I went with the box.

I plan on making most of our baby food with the exception of cereal. I just bought a box of Earth's Best organic rice cereal and it mixes up nice and creamy.

As others mentioned either is fine. I made my own. We made large batches of food and froze it. We have a great rice/veggie steamer...it worked great for us!

I made most everything except cereals. I bought whatever brand was on sale or I had a coupon for.

I think either is fine. We used the store bought Gerber.

I agree, either is fine. I always bought whatever was on sale.
