Just curious when you stopped burping your twins.

Generally when they start rolling over or crawling they tend to burp on their own!

When mine were crawling they definitely began burping on their own. This was around 8 months. They had been burping on their own at least a month before that too.

We stopped purposely burping the babies around 5.5-6months, they bring them up fine on their own now, they don't need any help from us.

I don't really burp them anymore, haven't for over a month, but I sit them up on my knees and bounce them a bit, and it usually helps them. I prefer that over letting them burp on their tummies, as they often end up spitting up at the same time, so I'd rather it landed in the bib.

Ours showed signs that they were ready to forgo burping. They used to pause after a few ounces to be burped. Now they drain the whole bottle in one sitting and throw a fit if you try to take it out to burp them. I still pat them a little just in case, but most often when they are sitting up and playing they burp all by themselves. I do try to keep them sitting and not crawling though, because like another poster mentioned when they crawl or are on their tummy they tend to spit up a little when they burp.

We still stop and burp, though not as often (maybe once in the middle and once at the end now as opposed to every ounce or so (reflux) before). They probably don't need it; but we still get occasional spit up if I let it build up too much--so better, safe than sorry (or better safe than wet ;) ).

We will burp. Not as often as we used to usually in the middle of the bottle and again at the end. On of my dd would probably be fine if I didn't burp her but my other tends to spit up a bunch if we don't. We especially try and and get the burps out after their last bottle before bed otherwise they wake up crying needing to burp.

I should add that I am not as obsessive about burping as I used to. I try to burp them but if they don't I know that as they move around playing during the day they will burp themselves.

We didn't until the girls were upright most of the time (10months old). This was because Ana would puke more if we didn't. I guess you can stop if you notice they can do it on their own while moving about, and they aren't uncomfortable after their bottle.

Generally, when they were sitting up on their own.

:good: Same here. I was so happy when we didn't have to stop and burp.
