When did you remove the bumpers from their cribs?

I still have theirs on...They are one but they are not climbing yet and when I did remove it, they would wake with red marks or bumps since they are both all over their cribs so I put them back on. I will take them off again if they become a problem but for now they work fine.

We never used them. My ds used to roll over and sleep with his face mushed in them and from then on I was always worried about suffocation.

We took them off around 7 months - they are starting to pull up on them. Occasionally one will get a foot caught but so far no major incidents.

I just put mine back in! for a while my son would roll and smush his face into them so I removed them...I had to put them back in because he is now banging his head on the bars - fortunately he is not yet pulling up...

We had to take a bunch of classes when our boys were in the NICU and the main thing that they stressed to us was not to have anything in the crib at all with the babies. That said, I immediately took the bumpers off and haven't used them yet. They said we could use bumpers once the babies could stand up in the crib.

We took them out after one week because we change the sheets at least once a day and it was nearly impossible to do with the bumpers in the crib! After I read that they pose a suffocation hazard, that sealed the deal and out they came.

We had the breathable mesh bumpers. I loved them cause even if they did have thier face smushed up in them they could still breath and it managed to keep their little hands, feet and arms in.
I just took them off today and put a link up to see them in the auction forum. They're to pulling themselves up and I didn't want anyone getting caught up in the bumpers.

We used them until K&K were 3 and we transitioned to beds. What I did when they starting moving was weave them in and out of the rungs of the crib. It took a little experimenting to figure out how many in and how many out to make it all the way around but it worked great for us.
