Bumbo

Hey ladies, I was wondering when I can start using the BUMBO and for how long?

 

When they have head control. I think for as long as they will tolerate it. I think I wouldn't do more than about 20 minutes though. I'm just getting ready to order one, so I'm not speaking from experience though.

 

If you can sit them up and their head flops over then they are not ready. If they have a pretty strong neck, then they are ready

 

yep, when they can hold their heads up. Its okay if they are a little wobbly, but if they are totally floppy, wait a bit.

My guys head control is getting better and better since we've been using them though. Its a good way for them to get "brother face time." I sit them in the bumbos and they stare at each other and smile and coo. So cute!

 

Thanks ladies- for those ordering I saw ebay had the set of Bumbo and tray New for less than the bumbo alone at BRU.

 

We use the Bumbos all the time. The boys like to be sitting up, looking around, but I only use it for 10-15 minutes at a time right now. We have been using it for about a month now.

 

I have two and they are great. You can't put them on a table -- Yes some people actually do that. My one girl can arch her back right over the edge and have her head nearly touching the table with her bottom still in the seat !!

We started using ours this week. I don't leave them in it for too long. Once they start to whine - I take them right out. Probably don't spend more than 10 minutes sitting in them.

 

We started using ours around 2 or 3 months. Not for too long though, as pp suggested.
