I got a bumbo and borrowed one from my sister when the boys were born. I never ended up using them. About 2 weeks ago, I decided to put the bumbos by the garage door. Now, when I am going out with the babies, I bring them into the den by the garage where their bumbos are, sit them in there, put their coats on while they are sitting in there and then when I bring one out, the other is not rolling around waiting for me. I also like to give the one waiting a Puff so it distracts them while I get the other one in the car or stroller. Just wanted to share.

Good idea! I'm already finding uses for our Bumbo - we only have one because I wasn't sure how they would take to it. It's great if one is still napping and the other wakes up and I need to get ready for work or clean or something, I'll plop one in the bumbo and just put him on the kitchen table or the bathroom counter or whatever and he can watch as I do stuff - they love it and I still get whatever I need done!

:laughing:I don't know why, but that cracked me up!

Just be careful that they don't fall out of the Bumbo, there are no straps to hold them in so they can sort of roll out of it, and with no warning either! :icon_eek:

We use our bumbos instead of high chairs. I love that you can just hose the whole thing off!

I only had 1 bumbo, which I got to help Zoe with her torticollis, but I loved it & used it all the time! I just sold it actually....debated on keeping it, but Johnny's too active now & Zoe's legs are too chubby. :) She especially loved sitting in the living room in the Bumbo (she started sitting by herself late) with a tray in front of her with toys on it (like the kind you use for breakfast in bed). Loved those things!

Sounds like a great idea, I'm going to try that. :good:

Just wanted to add that they can get out of them for anyone whose baby hasn't already found a way out. Lila & Luke have both managed to get out of them at one point or another. As long as they are on the floor they don't have far to fall & don't seem to get hurt. Definitely no one should leave them out of arms reach on a counter or table, though! :shok:

That is a great idea. Be careful with your bumbo though because I have skinny and very active children and by 6 months they were jumping out of it. I would be doing something and I'd here bang and crying. I then watched to see hoe they did it. They lean backwards, put one foot in the seat and push while lifting their bums. They end up tumbling backwards out of the chair. It would be horrible if this happened and the bumbo was on a table or something. I imagine fatter babies would have a harder time doing this. Also, they have trays out now that would stop them from lifting their bums and getting their feet up.

    Just be careful!
