Bumbo seat

Is the Bumbo seat really worth the money? I didn't have one with E&E but am wondering if I should get one. Also what age did you start using it?

 

I don't think they are worth the money at all. I have 2 and I have only used them a couple of times...my girls weren't too into it.

 

I have one and am getting another. I love it! I just started using it. Maya really likes it, Sofia sort of does. However, I think that is an item that you should get off craigslist or somewhere second hand. They hold up REALLY well, so buying used is totally worth it.

 

I have 2 & bought the trays for them too...the girls dont really love them, but they do sit in them & play for a 10 min. a day or so.
I say find one on craigslist if you want one

 

I have two that I bought second hand. My girls love them. I wouldn't pay full price for them, but if you could find them used I think they are worth it.

 

I had two, and they didn't love them, but it was another thing to add to the rotation! I started using them around 4 months, I think.

 

I only bought one to see how it went over. Well, we started using it at 5 months and by 6 months my DS was able to wiggle out of it. I put him in it, went to grab some laundry out of the dryer, and heard a big cry. I was only gone like 30 seconds and when I came back he was face down on the floor. He was more scared than anything, but still.

 

Mine loved theirs from 3-6 months. We got ours cheap! We bought one second hand from a friend for $15 and borrowed the other for my sister. So, you can always buy second hand. Also, you can try one if you're not sure how they'll take to them. GL!

 

I really like having ours...although we are borrowing one and I got one second-hand cheap. We started using it at 3.5 months (when they had good head control). It is great for feeding them their cereal (vs. having to get the big high chairs out yet). The babes also can sit in them with us at dinner time. I also like being able to take them places easy (easier than an exersaucer,for example) yet it provides them something other than their car seat to sit in.

 

We have this http://www.target.com/Summer-Infant-3-Stag...seat&page=1 . It is a super seat and has a tray and can turn into a booster seat that straps to a kitchen chair. For smaller babies, you use without the tray.. And I think they are more like a$45 at the stores.

 

I do not think they are worth the money at all. My kids got in it and looked at me like "Now what?" And I even had the stupid toy tray.

I don't like them at all and thankfully, sold the one I bought on Craigslist. But it's a rip off.

IF you are going to get one- get a used one. They are sturdy little dudes so you could probably have one for 100 years and it wouldn't get destroyed. Look for a used one.

Some people LOVE them. I did not especially for the GIANT price tag on them!!

I was so excited about these cute little seats when I was preggo with them...I just HAD to have them and the little trays. Well, they will only sit in them for like 5 min and then they start arching back and practially launch themselves out of them. They don't like them! Oh, well.

 

I bought two and returned them a week later. They made my girls puke half the time (Bumbos put pressure on the stomach and intestines because the way babies sit in them according to our pediatric GI) and the other half, they just sort of sat there bored.

 

My guys love their bumbo's. I also got one toy tray. I have them facing each other so they can share the tray. I agree w/ the pp's get a used one if you can. I got mine from BJ's for $30.

I also fopund that they help w/ head control. It has even helped my one little guy w/ his torticolis(sp) HTH

 

We didn't get ours until 5 months and wish I had it earlier. I would only get one and get it used. Don't pay more than $25 for it. We do still use ours when I'm getting the kids in the car, but they are able to get out of it.

The only good thing we have found is it's a nice way to get pictures without your hands in the pic. Of course you have to be fast cause they only last a few minutes in it!

 

Mine could take them or leave them either way...they only last maybe 10 minutes at best in them at a time. I do like to sit them facing each other and let them get to a different view point of each other. I am hoping they will like them more as they get a little stronger.
