Our dr. said we can just wipe them. My sister just told me they sell training tooth paste in the baby isle (no flouride) and something that goes on your finger as a toothbrush.

Our doctor told us to just wipe them, our dentist gave us toothbrushes that are designed for 4-12 month old babies. We just wipe them down for now.

We do baths everynight and we just stick the wash cloth in their mouth and wipe down their mouths at that time. They quite look it too. We did buy the baby toothbrushes and mostly they just like to play with them.

I am going to try wiping my girls teeth too. They only have 2 each. Good question!

We've been using the finger toothbrushes, and I keep getting bit. And it hurts!!! Even with just those tiny little teeth!!! So, I am going to switch to the washcloth method I think.

We have been brushing with a baby toothbrush and toothpaste since Ryan got one tooth (about 7 months). Jake didn't have any, but we figured it couldn't hurt to start together. We sing a song (the same one we've sang since we started) and they open right up. After we brush what we can, they get to play with the toothbrush as long as it goes into their mouth and for about a minute. The song we sing is by Raffi and DH even learned the words (though he likes to make up his own).

My girls were a bit older when they first got their teeth, and they were able to sit up in the bath tub, so I started brushing their teeth while they were in the tub. I did use brushes for toddlers and training paste. I had them spit right in the tub -- which was their favorite part! We did that up to the point where they learned to do most of it themselves, then eventually transitioned to them brushing at the sink when they were finally tall enough to work comfortably there.
