We just got home from Disney World on Friday and now I have 3 sick kids. Trevor actually got sick at the airport and on the plane, poor thing and DH as he was holding him. And threw up his bottle later that night too. Yesterday he seemed fine, he drank pedialyte for his bottles and kept everything down. So I was just hoping and praying no one else would get it. Well this afternoon Emilie threw up. Then later tonight my oldest, Caroline threw up. So now I have 3 sick kids. [IMG] I thought Disney World was the happiest place on earth, why would there be stomach bugs there, doesn't Disney get rid of them??? That would be the last place you would expect to get sick. My mom, who was there also, said she did hear another lady talking the day we left Disney and she said that she had heard there was some sort of bug going around and knew some people who had gotten it. I am just glad we got it after our trip so we were able to have a great time. Thanks for letting me vent.

Oh and DH is staying home with me tomorrow. [IMG]

I read a few Disney boards and there always seems to be some kind of bug going around. The reasons are endless with I think the biggest being the number of people and the quantity of germs. Often times people get run down and don't take as good of care of themselves when they are preparing for vacation so once they get there their immune systems aren't what they usually are. When they come in contact with new 'foreign' germs their immune systems can't fight them off. Also, sometimes people don't want to be couped up in their rooms when they are supposed to be on vacation so they carry their sick germs wherever they go (they don't want to waste their money kind of thing). Think of all the door handles, rides, seatbelts, safety bars, etc etc etc that you touched along the way and it really is understandable that illness can spread quickly.

I am sorry to hear you guys got the bug, I hope it passes quickly for you!

Amy! I'm sorry you have the crud going through the house. Sounds like you are pretty darn lucky to me!!! I know it's a bummer to have everyone sick, but at least it wasn't during the vacation like one of our mods had!! They all got sick the DAY they left I think! It was completely ruined!

Not that having the stomach bug is a GOOD THING EVER! I wish you didn't have to be sick at all!! I just spent the last 48 hrs. with it! Hope you are all well soon!! Mine lifted in the middle of the night last night! Today, I EAT! [IMG]

Amy, not so perfect end to an awesome vacation right? I am so sorry, sickness with multiple kids is not pretty so I know where you are coming from.

Hang in there sweetie, it will end soon.

On a happier note, did you have a good time?????

Dianne-That all makes perfect sense. Next time I'll have to take a spray can of lysol with me.

Diane-Yes, I am very glad no one got sick on the trip. I just told DH last night that at least it was the day we left and not while we were down there. Glad you are feeling better and can eat today, it's always nice to be able to eat again.

Sarah-Yes, we had a great time. My oldest, who is 6, was in heaven seeing all the characters, especially the princesses, and getting their autographs. She had a blast, we all did.

And last night my DH got sick too. I guess I'm next, but I'm still crossing my fingers I'll be the lucky one.

Wow, it really is going around down there and now we all bring it home and start is going around here. My son vomitted on the ramp to the plane too, and before boarding and on the plane. It doesn't make for a fun trip home. Hope her family recovers soon.
