Broken water?

Okay, I cannot figure out what is going on. I am on a t-pump for contractions, but even though I've been contracting since 22 weeks my cervix has not changed. I have had what seems like a lot of discharge throughout the pregnancy, but nothing that panned out to be anything dangerous.

Now, it feels like I constantly have stuff pouring out of me (sorry for the description). Nothing is running down my leg and there hasn't been a gush, but I'm usually wearing a pad. I know that baby A's bottom is wedged up against my cervix, so I don't know how this would affect water coming out. I'm also pretty sure that I've passed the mucus plug in the last couple of days.

I know this was a lot of information, but does anyone have any experience that can help shed some light. I go to the peri on Wed, so we'll see if fluid levels are low, but I'm afraid of not knowing my water is broken and risking infection for the boys.

 

I really think it would be a good idea to call your regular ob/gyn right now...and head in to L&D to have them check you out. They can run a simple ph test to see if it really is amniotic fluid or perhaps just a leaky bladder from all the pressure they have on you. Even if your water is broken it doesn't mean the end of the pg...your docs might decide just to put you on bedrest for awhile to see if things stabilize, sometimes the leak will seal back up...or at least perhaps you could hold them in for another week and get steroid shots for their lungs. Obviously, in the meantime you don't want to put anything up there b/c of possible infection being caused.

 

LoL There isn't anything else they could do for me! I'm on bedrest, I've had steroid shots, and I've gotten more pH tests than I can count. If this were the end of this pg I would jump for joy.

 

I would go get that checked out right away, it couldn't hurt to make sure!

 

I had the same thing happen to me. 4 days before Idelivered my discharge was very watery and was coming out a lot but not gushing. I ended up going to L&D Sunday & they swabbed the fluid & determined it wasn't my water. About 30 hrs later as I was lying in bed, my water broke, it was the 'typical' water gushing. So, I don't know, maybe it's a sign something will happen soon.....
