    MY GIRLS ARE GETTING SICK OF OATMEAL AND MALT O MEAL, YOGURTS, THEY HATE EGGS & WAFFELS. I CAN ALREADY TELL THEY ARE PICKY EATERS, I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO GIVE THEM, I GIVE THEM CEREAL ON THEIR TRAYS, BUT IT MOSTLY GOES ON THE FLOOR. I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO GIVE THEM, ANY IDEAS WOULD BE GREAT.

    What about french toast or pancakes? Nutrigrain bars were always a hit when my kids were younger. Fruit and yogurt.

    Yes, mine love nutrigrain bars, too! I actually take cheerios (or puffed wheat - for some reason they love it!?), mix it with very little milk, add bananas and strawberries...and put it on their trays...they love it. It is like cereal without the bowl.

    We are in a rut of scrambled eggs, oatmeal, cream of wheat, and waffles. I also give them some fruit every day. But you can really give them anything for breakfast -- they don't care whether it's breakfast food or not! (At least not at 1 year old.) Give them leftover pizza or cheese and crackers or whatever's handy.

    Also, if you only give them what they want because they are picky eaters, it will make them more picky. If you feel like having eggs, make eggs and give them some eggs and some yogurt. If they're really sick of yogurt, maybe they'll eat eggs! And if they don't -- at least you got to have eggs.

    Mine are addicted to Eggo mini pancakes. They also love Pepperidge Farm cinnamon swirl bread toasted.

    Right now we are on rotation between:

    Toast with cream cheese
    Toast with butter
    French Toast Sticks with Cinnamon {they LOVE these, and all you have to do is put them in the toaster!}
    Blueberry waffles with butter
    Quiche is another big hit around here

    Just keep on trying things with them. Hopefully they will start liking more things. Good luck.

    My girls are happy to eat yogurt almost every day. We usually do yogurt mixed with fresh fruit and wheat germ, and half a toaster waffle each. Our other breakfasts are bagel with cream cheese and side of fruit, eggs (variety of ways), toast, and fruit, or pancakes made with squash or pumpkin (from the Seinfeld cookbook).
    You could try cereal bars, those are big hit here for snack. Or maybe they just aren't real hungry for breakfast. Do they get a bottle before you serve breakfast? If so, they might not be hungry. Or maybe they need to be a up a little longer upon waking before they eat.

    Most days my kids eat a mix of rice krispies and kashi go lean crunch. As "dessert" they'll have a piece of fruit or some yogurt (this is w/ all meals). THey also like when I make mini pancakes and let them dip in syrup. Or I'll make belgian waffles and cut them into sticks and let them dip. All kids love to dip things! Oh, and my son loves eggs, DD, not so much.

    Thanks everyone, I'm going to try the quiche, I never thought about that. I stop giving them a bottle in the mornings but still do for lunch and around 8 pm, I was hoping to start taking away the one for lunch, but I just don't know since they are not big eaters, they nibble on everything all day, so it's not like they go without and they drink plenty of water through out the day as well, I'm not to big on juices right now. I'm going to have to try these things you guys have mentioned.

    My girls love chunks of banana rolled in crushed rice crispies. And cheerios - I mix the fruity ones, the plain and the multi grain together. If I don't have bananas, I give them a jar of baby food fruit.

    If you do a google search for healthy muffin recipes you can find lots of them to try. We eat a lot of pumpkin muffins around here. You can sneak all kinds of healthy things in a muffin.

    I was thinking pretty much the same thing. They're too young to really know what they like/don't like yet so keep giving them the foods they've refused and they might just surprise you. You can give bites of the previously refused food alongside other foods that they have already accepted so they're not starving if they don't eat the food they "don't like". My DH once laughed at me for giving them leftover lasagna in the morning when I had oatmeal because they weren't too keen on the oatmeal. FWIW, they gobble oatmeal up now... it just took quite a few tries. A toddler doesn't know what people normally eat at what time so it doesn't seem odd to them. Also, my guys LOVE to dip their food (most toddlers do). If you give them a puddle of yogurt and show them how to dip their waffle, they may like that. Be warned, though, dipping is addictive... nearly every meal I serve has some sort of dip :lol:
