OK, so I've had BH before with my single pregnancies. They were sporadic and really just towards the end of my pregnancy. With this twin pregnancy, I've had them since around 27 weeks, very mild and inconsistent. This weekend, they were happening throughout the day and they were painful. I'm pretty sure they're BH because they do stop and I have no other signs of pre-term labor. I'm 33w4d today and the past two days I had them pretty strong and close during the evening and most of the night. On and off during the day. They kept me up and I was actually scared that they were normal contractions because they were so strong and painful.

    Is this normal?

When is your next appt? All of it does sound normal except the part where you say they started to hurt,
    Worth checking out for sure.
    Keep us posted!!

    I with Lesley.

Braxton Hicks generally shouldn't hurt more the a "discomfort". I would put a call in to the OB and just give them a heads up. And definitely keep us posted!

Tomorrow is my first NST and ultrasound and on Thursday another NST and my doctor's appointment. I'm taking it easy today but I think I will call my doctor if it continues.

Make sure you drink enough water that you feel it coming out your ears momma!

Drink water, pee often and be sure to lay down. I would also call if you do not feel better.

Those sound like real ones to me. I never had BH but was admited to the hosptial 3 times form 29 to 30 1/2 weeks with real contractions and had to ahve a shot to stop them. And they wer never what I would say was painful. Just consistent every 5-7 min for an hour and I went in. I was then put in bedrest and given meds to take every 6 hours. I would go in. Twins is a different story. If they tell you they are BH then you won't worry anymore but they could be real and causing dialation.
