I was curious as to when people starting feeling BH contractions with their twin pregnancy. Also, if you have already delivered, how far along were you at delivery?

What do they feel like? I am 24 weeks and have not had any yet. I think.

I've been having contractions since 13 or 14 weeks. When I get up I get one. It might start in one spot and feel really hard and then it spreads throughout the rest of your stomach and it's all hard for a few seconds. Or sometimes I don't notice it until my whole stomach is hard and tight. I don't drink nearly as much water as I should and that is probably why I feel so many. I've been working on my water intake though as I don't want to go to the hospital because of it. With my son I never felt a contraction until they broke my water though.

I've heard some people confuse them with the babies kicking or moving. So this might be the case with you but I deffinately wouldn't hope for them.

I started feeling them pretty early in this pregnancy (before 20 wks), but then again, that was while I was still feeling like the Invincible Pregnant Woman. Once I realized that this was NOT a normal pregnancy and I needed to chill, they subsided. Now, I get some sporadic ones, but they don't come on too heavy unless I'm overdoing it physically or I'm dehydrated. I truly think our bodies tell us what they need if we just tune in a little bit.

I also had them pretty early, probably starting between 18-20 weeks. I delivered via scheduled c-section at 37w4d.

I have had them from 16 weeks. 3rd Pregnancy. I had them early on with both my singleton pregnancys too, and they went to 10 and 7 days overdue.
BTW, they say they don't hurt, but I find them very uncomfortable.

I had them starting around 27 weeks. I would get them from getting up from a sitting position but also when the babies moved sporadically. Movement can bring them on even if you are sitting still. Since about 32 weeks I have them all day and night long - I am so used to them now that I sometimes don't realize it is happening unless I randomly feel my stomach - they used to freak me out. I have a scheduled c-section for 38 weeks on March 10th.

My experience is exactly the same as Courtney's. I've been having them since about 15 weeks; my doc said it's not unusual to have them so early in a twin pregnancy. Plus, she said, I know what they feel like from my last pregnancy, so I can identify them easily. They strike whenever I get up quickly from sitting or lying down. They also strike when I'm overdoing it physically. Yesterday I assembled a bed (with help), and I was contracting the entire time and off and on for a few hours after. I try to look at them as canaries in my own personal coal mine; they let me know in no uncertain terms that I need to back off and rest. :p

I started feeling something at 10 weeks... BUT it was extremely sporadic and NOT every day. A little part of my stomach would harden. It was probably more just uterine irritability. They became more often and more of my stomach would harden. Fortunately I knew what was going on because my sis just went thru preterm labor. Finally around mid to late dec...between 17-20 weeks the docs started paying attention and were shocked at how often they were occuring. I kept trying to explain it to them. So i've been on meds to slow contractions for a long time now. I'm still doing ok though, and no cervical change the last time they checked.

Mine started around 16-18 weeks this time. For some reason it happens most when I have to pee (sorry) .
