I have had these for a while now, all day long off and on, but not ones that are back to back. I was just wondering if anyone else was having them and what they felt like for you.

My doc said as long as they don't last a long time and I have a lot in a row and there are no other signs of preterm labor, I am okay, but it sure seems like I have a ton during the day.

    Anyone else?

I have them throughout the day. I have stand if I am sitting, sit if I am standing, basically changing positions or empty my bladder more often. I dont have them back toback either. Its been going on for about 3 weeks now, I dont think its anything to be alarmed about since I had them alot more with the twins and the drs then wherent concerend about it. I will mention it to my Dr just so he knows at least.

    Hi there,
I had a TON of BH contractions w/ my first pregnancy (daughter, Chloe) and now again w/ my twin pregnancy. I found that drinking Gatorade has helped so much. I have absolutely no idea why it helps... I feel like it's a magical potion at this point! LOL! But drink plenty of fluids b/c I found that the more dehydrated I was, the worse the contractions got. I'm 35 weeks now and I have about 1-2 BH contractions an hour or so. It feels like my uterus is tightening up into a ball. It's uncomfortable, like a full feeling, but not painful. Hope that helps.

I think the general rule is to call the dr. if you have more that 6 in one hour, and you've tried drinking lots of water and laying down, or changing position.

I seemed to have BH the most between 27-32 weeks. It's slowed down a bit lately.

That's exactly what I was told.

not at that point yet with this preg but with the twins they started at 5 months and were every day...I drank more water as I was told but they never went away. I would call the dr if I got more than 5 and hour...toward the time closer to delivery I was having between 5 and 10 an hour. I went to L&D and was put on bedrest when I had 13 in 45 minutes.
The day I delivered I had quite a few but didn't think anything of it until I had a slight twinge of cramping (barely noticeable) and a thick clump of mucous was on the toilet paper when I wiped. Clear. Still not sure if that was what a mucous plug was or what but I was dilating by the time I got to the ER and wasn't stopping. I was 33 weeks 5 days and since one baby was smaller than the other they said that they would be better out than in and so out they came

it's weird. i had them during my 3 week period of modified bedrest but now that i'm up and about i'm having far fewer. somethig about lying in bed was making me get contractions. definitely drink lots of water. i drink smart water which is essentially gatorade without all the calories & sugar. it's the electrolytes in gatorade that help athletes and pregnant women (i odn't know why pregnant women). you should be drinking something like 3-4 liters a day. really difficult! oh, and empty your bladder often. do not hold it in. it's causes contractions. anyway, i'm 23 weeks and my peri said BHs are totally normal and not worry (never had a single one with either of my previous pregnancies so they do freak me out). some have been fairly painful even but never regular and never more than 3 in an hour.
