For those of you that have already experienced BH contractions, what do they feel like? At what week did they start?
At times, my belly starts to tighten up for a little while and then relaxes. Could this be BH?

Sounds like it :) BH contractions started out for me like a tightening in one part of my belly, then it became the whole belly. Sometimes they can even be uncomfortable...the main thing, from what I understand, that distinguishes BH from preterm labor is that with labor your cervix starts to change. If you get them consistently, frequently, with increasing intensity (find out from your dr what is acceptable) then you should always get checked out to be on the safe side.

i felt BH contractions when i would stand up what it felt like was yes a tightening in the stomache. mine felt like when you stretch and your body tightens thats what it felt like on my belly. drinking lots of water does help too. if you feel them constantly call the doc. mine said 4 an hour

I would say that you are having braxton hicks but everyone is different. I've been having them since I was 17 weeks I'm 28 weeks now and i have them everyday all day long. My last ob appt. I was checked out and everything was fine my doctor also put me on terbuline 1 pill twice a day to help stop them, but it isn't working. I go to the doctor Friday so we will see if anything has changed since than. But any way they feel like real contractions but not as painful, mine happen when I'm just sitting still, about to stand up, when doing almost anything. But any way whatever the case if you are concerned just call your doctor you can never be to careful. :itwins_boys:

yup, sounds like it to me ~ my stomach would get really tight & hard, sometimes I would feel like it would take my breath away. This would happen if I was overdoing it or not drinking enough water typically.
    Stay hydrated! :)

Same feeling for me. I noticed it especially when it affected my breathing. It isn't painful, but takes your breath away.

I honestly don't remember when I started having them with the twins, but as long as you aren't getting a lot in one hour, you should be fine.
