I didn't have BH with my DS so this is new. I've had them off and on for a few days not realizing what they were. No pain just an uncomfortable feeling at the beginning and climax of it and a real tightening. It's even when I'm sitting down. I am drinking water now hoping to stop them. I guess I need to call my doctor just to run this by them. I really don't want them telling me to go to L&D though and the seem to tell me that for EVERYTHING. I mean better safe than sorry.

Anyone else deal with this (I'm sure someone did) Are they dangerous at all or just a warning sign to drink water? Is there a chance they could cause real contractions?

    Thanks!!

I would call your doc and ask for the criteria of when you should call, most docs will say if you experience x number (usually somewhere between 4 and 6 or so) in an hour if laying down on your left side and drinking tons of water don't help then call. For some pregnancies it is just a normal part of the process but it is something to be aware of. Have you already discussed a criteria with your doctor?

I just got off the phone with my doc and she said to lay down and drink water for an hour. If they stayed the same or got worse that she wanted me to go to L&D but that she things that they might go away with rest and water so try that first. My problem is that they seem to be getting worse at this point. A little pain etc. And they are definitely coming more quickly.

i get them all the time and i dont tink i had them with my 1st. i have been getting them since 12 weeks my doc said i feel them now because 1 my uteras is streached out and you feel them verse being a new mom and your stomach muscle are much tighter and 2 because u dont really know what going on the 1st time around. i get some that bring tears to my eye and my little one ask me if the babies are coming!! too cute but she said not to worry unless they are close in time and get stronger

I hope that laying down worked!!! If not it almost sounds like you should be going to L&D
