Hey guys my wife told me last night that she thought she was having bh contractions, the thing is she's only 13 weeks and I think this is a little early. I felt her stomach and it was definatley tight. And on top of that we both are sick with a cold/fever for the past 2 days. Should we inform the doc or just wait til the next appt March 13th to let him be aware that they have possible started bh already.
We have a 2yr old daughter and with that pregnancy she started bh between 18-22 weeks, granted it was only one but she went into preterm labor had to be placed on bed rest and delivered at 35 weeks.

I started getting them as well at about 13 weeks. If I wasn't drinking enough water and doing too much at the same time. I got the ole lecture... Drink LOTS of water. Make sure she has plenty . Sometimes you can't help but do too much though. I will still have at least one a day. But I am either chasing kids or working, can't stop doing either.

In general, I'd say that after being in your situation (Call? Don't call?) numerous times I've reached this conlusion: If in doubt, just call - I'm not too good at practicing it, but it's true. What's the worst that could happen if you call and shouldn't have? Your doc will be needlessly bothered (and I wouldn't even say needlessly since you're worrying now and he may give you peace of mind). What's the worst that can happen if you don't call and should have? Well, let's not even speculate.

About your specific case, try counting them and see how regular they are - there shouldn't be many, and they should be very mild at 13 weeks. What helps is resting and drinking lots of water - so help her drink plenty, cut back on activities and take it easy!

    Welcome to TS!

If she has been sick, I bet she is dehydrated. It is SOOOO easy to get dehydrated when you are pregnant with twins. Even if she thinks she is getting enough water, she probably isnt.

My BH's started at 14 weeks with the twins, but looking back I wasn't getting anywhere near enough to drink at that point. We didn't find out til 20 weeks that it was twins.

Rest and hydration...keys to twin pregnancy.

    Good luck, and congratulations! [IMG]

I definately started having them that early in my second pregnancy. Like a previous post said, she might be dehydrated from being sick. For me staying hydrated and peeing when I had the slightest urge made a huge difference.
