    Hi Everyone,

I've been monitoring my blood pressure lately, my grandmother has a home blood pressure device so I've been checking mine to keep her also in the habit.

My blood pressure is fine - generally 110-115 / 60-70... all throughout the pregnancy.

However it seems like my pulse is quite high, around 85-95 for the past week.

I'm seeing my OBGYN this Thursday so I'll be sure to bring it up, but just wondering if anyone has seen an increased pulse rate?

Thanks for the feedback! Hope you're all doing well!

My heartrate has been up a lot, too. My athlete husband tells me that active people have really low pulses because their cardiovascular systems are so in shape. Our theory on my heart rate is that because I've had to decrease activity, my pulse has gone up. Perhaps this is true for you too.

Mine is exactly the same as yours...sometimes a little more if I'm active. It has been the whole pregnancy and my Dr. said this is normal due to increased blood flow and all of that! That's still pretty normal even for non-pregnant women it can be that high sometimes.

Keep an eye on it, and be sure to mention it to your doc. I was hospitalized for increased heartrate around 33 weeks. My resting rate was in the 140's. :icon_eek:

My heart rate was always high during my pregnancy, I think it is just all the extra weight I was carrying around. My pulse was so high a lot of the time they would confuse it with the baby's. They never were too concerned especially if my blood pressure was ok.

Mine usually is in the 70-80s. However it's been over 100 a bunch of times this pregnancy. I was told it's nothing to worry about because it's due to the increase blood volume.
