    in the toilet, that is.

How do you teach boys to aim? And at what age is it possible to teach them? I'm working on this since Moshe started toilet training, almost a year ago. And it's still an issue.

You can float some cheerios in there and try to have him hit them. And the only other thing, is I would encourage you at this age to teach him how to clean up. If he doesn't make it in the toilet, grab a few pieces of toilet paper, wipe up the mess and flush... otherwise you will be cleaning pee off your toilet for the next 15 years....I'm convinced they never actually learn how to aim correctly all the time.

this is why we train our boys to sit. It is a few years before they start realizing they can stand and by then their aim is much better.

I do teach him to clean up. I teach him to aim (not working too well), then wipe, flush, then put the seat down.

Erm, I guess it depends on the position of their penis. Moshe can't do it in a sitting position, as his penis points upwards all the way.

Haven't really pushed it yet, but was wondering the same thing. Mine sit and when I ask if they want to try to stand like daddy they say "no, I like to sit" so I guess in time they will want to?

I'm having my boys push their penises down and close their knees so it stays down while they are on the potty. They have yet to actually pee so we'll see if that works :) You definitely need to have them push it down somehow unless they are...ahem.....larger than usual.

Good question, I will be very interested in the replies and hopefully some tips. :)

Trevor has been standing to pee for about 2 months now, but I still push his penis down for him and I have to. I just can't figure out how to explain it to him or wonder if he'll even get it. But I have to soon since he'll go to preschool in Sept.

you can also have him sit backwards and straddle the toilet - it sort of naturally helps it point downward...

Jack has stood up and peed since he started using the toilet. Yes he does pee on the wall and floor sometimes lol but he does relatively well. He does try to clean up if he pees anywere but the toilet. Cheerios work well and jack likes to aim at toilet paper when its in there! Good luck x

I just always told Owen to make sure he points his pee stream so it hits the hole in the bottom of the toilet. There are actually targets you can get that go in your toilet.
