Boy name help!

I need some help with a name for my singleton. It's my first child and we found out on Thursday that he's a boy and of course we only had girl names picked out

Right now my first choice is Charles David, but DH and I disagree on a NN - I like Charlie and he likes Chuck.

However, DH really wants to use Julius as a middle name after his grandfather, and I can't think of a good first name to go with it. Charles Julius just sounds like too much of a mouthful to me. I like something that is known enough to be spelled/pronounced easily but not extremely popular (thus Charlie!). I also want something that'll be the baby's own name, which rules out David, Jeffrey, Nicholas, Adam, and Thomas as first names.

Any ideas?

You could always do Adam, Andrew, Anthony or any other A name and call AJ???? You could even do the Charles Julius and call him CJ.

Orange has already been thrown out there - we could call him OJ for short

Also,
maybe something that starts with another letter to go with J,like AJ,TJ,DJ,JJ,etc...

 

I LOVE Charlie as a nickname! Oh well.... ;-)
CJ is a great idea - that way you get your name and a cute nickname, too.

 

Charlie is definately my first choice as a nick name, but DH says he prefers Chuck. I just can't see calling a baby Chuck. He also doesn't like initials...

I knew a Charles at work, his nickname was Chad.
