I was just curious if anyone has conceived boy/girl combo without fertility aid or any dizygotic twins for that matter. At my last appointment my O.B. and I were talking about the fact that my twins are identical and she said, "Which I wouldn't have thought otherwise since you weren't taking any fertility meds or anything?" And that just perked my curiousity b/c as I understand it hyperovulation CAN happen on it own, right?

Just interested to see if there is a case or two out there!

    Take care.

I conceived boy/girl twins spontaneously as did one of my closest friends, our children are two months apart. I know that there are a lot of women on here who also conceived their b/g twins without assistance.

See, I thought so. I wonder why she said that! Thanks ladies.
It would be funny if we went to our next u/s and found out we had b/g combo and the placentas were just fused to look like one! LOL

We are having di/di twins (mostly likely frats) spontaneously conceived, but DH blames me for the extra egg..

  13. I have 2 sets of twins that were conceived without fertility help. I'm not sure if DD#1's twin was a boy or girl because we lost him/her at 15 weeks. But DD#2 and DS were fine.

Actually, fraternal twins are more common that identical twins, even if you "weed" out those who used "help." And of the fraternal twins, boy/girl is the most common (for obvious statistical reasons).

Irrelevant, but I did have "help."...
