Ok i think that my daughter is slightly bow legged. It is nothing severe but i wonder will it correct itself? Is this hereditary? Neither me nor DH are bow legged but you can tell she is. Should i address this at her next appt? Thanks for any help.

I would definitely bring it up at the next appt. In fact, if it were me, I'd call especially for that reason. It may be something that should be caught early? Hopefully it's nothing, which I'm sure it is.

My brother was pretty bow legged when he was 2 and he outgrew it.

i would ask the pedi for peace of mind. i once asked when the babies were younger (like 9 or 10 months) and he said it was normal, and she would outgrow it, and i think she has....

I would ask your Dr. at the next visit, but I can tell you my nephew is so bow-legged and toe-ed in that you could shoot a basket ball in between his little knees and have "nothing but net". His osteo. said he is 90% certain he will outgrow this with no intervention. (I don't necessarily agree, if he were my son he'd be in braces now to forstall potential surgery in the future. His is an extreme case however...)

My son is very bow legged and the orthopedic surgeon said they wouldnt even look at him until he had been walking WELL for 6 months as usually in that time it corrects itself. I do see it getting better but he has been walking for 3 months and I dont think it is halfway better.

I would certainly write it down and address it at their next appt!! If that's not till they are 2, then I would call to find out!!
