Bought used bottles on ebay

I decided to use the playtex drop ins this time around for my new one. I did a search on bay and bid on some bottles. It comes with nipples, but I cant in my right mind use used nipples (I cant figure out if they are used)...

its just the shells and the tops. Obviously all I have to get are nipples and drop ins.

Do you think I was crazy?

 

Um... I guess I don't see the difference between using a used bottle that has been properly cleaned and using a glass at a restaurant that a million other people used but that has (hopefully!) been properly cleaned. Am I missing something? Can you not boil everything?

 

The good thing about the drop ins is they dont actually drink from the bottle...they drink from a disposable drop in baggie. Thats the only reason why I figured it was ok to buy used. I will sanitize them anyway, but DEF not feel comfortable using nipples even slightly used by someone ese, you know?

 

Not at all! I sold all of my girls bottles, toys, etc. I also buy alot of things of of Ebay! I aggree with the previous poster, it's not any different than eating out. Just boil them real good, and they will be fine. The auction looked like a "great deal."

 

Seems perfectly reasonable to me. We got most of our bottles as hand-me-downs.

 

I don't see a problem. In fact, I was thinking about selling ours. They are Dr Browns and have lots more plastic parts, so I don't know what people would think about that.

 

You got a great deal and I see no problem with it! I sold a bunch of our Dr Browns bottles on EBay when we switched to Avent.

 

I say it's fine - especially if you are buying your own nipples!

 

I figured, but I didnt know if it was gross to do that. Its amazing when you have more kids, the amount of money you try and save!! It comes with 19 bottles, and there are 4 and 8oz. I thought you couldnt beat that for about 30 bucks with shipping.

All I have to get is nipples and drop ins.

I got a baby gym, boppy cover (new), Baby Bjorn on ebay so far...I LOVE ebay!
