Bottles..

I was wondering how many bottles i should buy... How many do you use in one day? Should i get the 4oz and 8oz? or should i just get the bigger ones?

Right now we go through about 12 bottles a day. When they first came home we were going through approximately 16 a day.

When they first came home I found it easier to use the 4 oz bottles because they were only taking an ounce each feeding and the bigger bottles don't have a pre-marked line for one ounce. However, once they started drinking more than an ounce at a time I use the bigger 8 oz bottles.

I started with the 4 oz. bottles and used them for about 4.5 months. Mine were also taking 16 bottles a day in the beginning so we bought 8 and only had to wash once a day.

We bought only 6 of the 8 oz. bottles, which they are now taking 4 times per day.

 

I also had 16 of the 4oz bottles in the beginning.

 

In the beginning, I went through about 16-4oz bottles a day. Now, we are at 4-5 6-8 oz bottles.

 

I think we have a total of about 30 bottles. I picked mostly the larger size so they would always be able to use them. I think we were going through about 20 bottles/day in the first few months. It is just so nice to be able to throw them in the dishwasher every other day and not think about it now. We also pre-poured our bottles for a full 24 hours.

 

When we first came home they were eating every 3 hours round the clock so I guess that was 16 bottles. We used the 4 oz. until about 4 months. Now we use both. I use the 4 oz. for pumping and the girls use the 8 oz. I think that we have 10 of them.
