When did those who bottle fed drop from four bottles a day to three?

We never went to three bottles. They got bottles with all three meals and at bedtime. When we switched to milk, they still kept that 4th cup at bedtime until close to 15 mos.

We have 4 8 oz bottles now. We just moved from 5 to 4. They are teething badly now, so they hate solid. And we still offer 4 8oz bottles and 3 meals/day.my kids are picky eaters. I don't see how I can cut out 1 bottles before their first bd.they just don't eat enough solid.

With my three older kids were babies they moved to three bottles/sippy cups around 11mos. It got to the point they were eating three meals a day, plus a snack and offered water between meals during the day. My girls now take four bottles a day. They don't take a bottle right before bed. But the kids have always decided when to drop bottles. I never just cut a bottle out. They would nap/sleep through when they would eat or start eating another time instead and it became our routine.

We switched to three bottles around 10 months, and I added a snack to make up for the missing bottle. At 11 months, I started the transition from bottles to sippy cups, and they got their last bottle right at a year old. I was SO glad to get rid of bottles - I couldn't wait! :D Fortunately out guys didn't even bat an eye at the change - I know others have more trouble, but it was easy for us.

For me it's all about finding the right type of sippy cup. Once I find one they like and will drink out of then we're gold. Of course now with the twins I moving in very slowing about everything so I don't know if they will follow suit.

That is true - our guys took to sippy cups very well. I started with a sippy of water with meals around 6 months, so by the time we started milk in the sippy, they were used to the cups. Our guys do best with the straw cups. They can drink out of the regular sippy, but I got tired of tipping it up for them all the time, so we switched to straws.

i just posted about this! i was super nervous! but now its fine we switched last sunday so its almost been 1.5 weeks and they are doing great! went from 4 to 3. so i added a cup of yogurt and give therm a sippy cup with acouple oz. instead of that 4th bottle. i was just gioving them the sippy cup for practice, (with the milk in it) but they are drinking it and loving it!!!!!
