How did you do it? Cold turkey or dropping one by one?
Did either of them give you a problem?
I am afraid if I go cold turkey my daughter will boycott the milk all together. HELP???

I actually did it all at once and went cold turkey. I thought it was going to be so hard for one of them but he did much better than I thought! You can always try to do one at a time and if that doesn't work, just go cold turkey. Trial and error can't hurt...

We started giving them sippies with their meals around 8 months and they had no problem and then went cold turkey on their other two bottles around 11 months and they didn't have a problem. My DS is very attached to her bottle, but had no issues, which suprised me.

We were on three bottles a day, right before meals. We replaced a bottle at a time. Started with the evening bottle...replaced with a sippy of milk with the meal and then lunch. We are going to do the breakfast bottle this weekend. They get sippy cups of water with snacks. I switched from bottles of formula to sippy cups of milk without mixing formula with the milk...mine refused to drink cold milk from a bottle that they were used to being warm.

I was also afraid one of my girls would protest because was soooo anti-change. I dropped bottles AND formula cold turkey one day and never looked back. For a few days I offered them the sippy all day long. Seriously, at least once every 1/2 hour to get them to drink. Their intake dropped drastically for the first few days and then it picked back up.

We switched all at once except the first morning bottle. It actually took two weeks to change that one. They didn't protest the lunchtime or dinner sippy at all!
We tried the morning one for those two weeks and then finall one day they just accepted it!
    good luck!!

I'm in the middle of that right now with the twins--but we're going from Breast to sippy and I'm really surprised at how well they're taking it! I started giving it to them with meals a few months ago on and off, and for the last couple weeks every meal and throughout the day. A lot smoother than I thought it would be. My 3 year old gave up the bottle at 8 months, so I started sippies very early with him!

We did it cold turkey. We actually noticed that connor was chewing a whole in his nipple and made the change right then to prevent one of them choking on a piece of plastic. It took about a week, but then they realized that they could get more faster with sippies and love them. They were about 22 months
