We did a cold turkey change from bottles to sippy cups yesterday and they took to it like the champs they are!! I think it was harder on my MIL, who does our daycare, than on them. :)

Isn't it nice?! Nathaniel stopped using a bottle about a week after their first birthday. William "gave" up his about 2-3 weeks ago now. So much easier.

We are using the playtexones with the handles.

I tried the Gerber ones first but the spout never pointed the right direction and was a pain.

So far things are going alright. They aren't drinking nearly as much milk as they used to. Last night they wouldn't drink anything before bed. I thought my MIL was going to lose it. :) She insists that they get 20 oz of milk a day. I am happy if they get 16 and a bit of water.

But as far as drinking the milk they don't appear to miss the bottles at all.

The next battle will be the paci's. I don't think that Owen will be a problem but Conor likes his at night. The only reason I want to get rid of them is that if he drops it out of the crib at night he cries until someone gets it back to him. Should be fun :)

:clapping: congrats to them and to you too!! :D

As for paci's, throw 3-4 in his crib and he'll find at least one usually :) That's what we used to do and it cuts down on nighttime wakings
