Bottle Feeding - Period

To those of you who are bottle feeding...how long after you gave birth did you get your period?

I started out BFing but stopped at about 5 weeks, the next week I got my period and it was a gusher.

I bottle fed (formula) exclusively. When I went to my OB/GYN for my 6 wk. post partum check up, I told her that I wanted to go back on birth control (I had not had a period yet at my 6wk f/u). She gave me the BCP and told me that I could just start taking them the following Sunday and that I did not have to wait until I got my period first. My periods have been "normal" ever since. Sorry, that probably doesn't help you out very much, but I just didn't want to "chance" getting pg. so quickly after I had my boys.

Same exact story for me (except change "boys" to "girls" - LOL!!).

 

my post partum bleeding ran right into my first PP AF which was one month to the day I delivered!

 

I bled for 6 weeks PP, had a two week break and got my period.
