ivana is still learning how to walk, so she lost her balance and fell over and landed on her cheek (dh saw teh whole thing and said it didn't look too harsh), but she did cry and when she exhaled she blew out a slightly bloody snot. and she still had a little bit in her nose. is she okay? he said she didn't land on her nose, but he's kinda freaking out that it was bloody. (it was no where near dripping out or anything. literally just in her snot)

FWIW, she rubbed her nose and eyes (tiredness) afterwards, so her nose isn't hurting her, and she was fine after (just cranky and tired... it was right before bed)

    thanks!

Maybe the boogies just got freed from her crying and they are bloody from being dry? My girls have had some bloody boogies from the change in weather and turning the heat on.

My boys have had bloody snot several times after falling on their faces. It doesn't even faze me anymore. Sometimes they get it when they are coming down with a cold but it's usually related to a fall. They all have had bloody lips, too, from falling on their mouths. I don't think there's anything to worry about unless you see severe bruising or you think she has a head injury.

I wouldn't worry about it. Amy has given herself an outright bloody nose a few times, but it never seems to be a major problem. She actually finds it fascinating. :D

ETA: As a PP said, it may also be more likely if they're getting sick -- or we see it more often when the air is really dry.
