Bloody Nipple leakage?

Ok sorry this questions a bit personal. But here goes. Just before christmas my nipples started leaking a bit of fluid...not lots but enought to leave a nickel sized mark on my bra. But the fluid was/is reddish and has blood in it. Has anyone else ever had this happen. Nothing is sore or hurting, so I am not panicking. I see my OB tomorrow so hopefully it is fine. just wondering if anyone else started leaking at 19-20 weeks and if anyones ever had the bloody thing.

No, I haven't had this problem, but make sure you remember to ask your doctor while you are there. Quite often I have questions for mine, but by the time I get in to see him I have forgotten them! I guess I get all wrapped up in listening to the heartbeats, measuring the belly, etc.!
I'm sure it will be fine, but let us know how everything goes.

I don't think that is normal. Please be sure to ask your dr what could be causing it. Let us know what he says.

 

you're not alone...i had this about 3 weeks ago. i'm almost 33 weeks along. it was just one duct...and it's really not cause for concern...as your milk ducts start to expand with increased fluid, they can sometimes bleed a bit. my "pinkish" discharge lasted only 3 days, then healed up and now it's normal discharge for this point in the pregnancy. good luck!!

 

I've also heard it is normal. I just don't know what helps it heal faster, so definitely ask for some advice from your ob. Hope you find relief soon!!

I remember having reddish/orange discharge around 28 weeks last time. It actually happened first at my Glucose test and I thought I had spilled the nasty orange drink on my shirt! It only happened once or twice. I started wearing nursing pads and did have some more leaking, but not the tinged discharge more than once or twice.

 

I had this too. Mine was a slight brownish colour and came from one nipple only. Since having my boys, the only thing that comes out now is milk and lots of it.

 

I had this a couple of times with my first pregnancy. I think it is fairly normal but I would definately mention it to your doctor.

 

I had it too and the dr was never worried. You can always ask but I wouldn't worry
