DD had a bloody boogie in her nose. It kind of freaked me out. My friend said not to worry it's probably because the heat is on now and skin is getting dry. Do you think so too?

both my girls have had one in the last week - i think it's because it's getting drier as well. DH & i agreed that as long as it didn't get worse (ie they started gushing blood from their noses) or it started happening all the time, we weren't going to worry about it.

that can happen especially if its irrated if she has had some congestion and its def drier now with the heat on all the time and the windows closed.

I got a little freaked when one of my girls had a little blood in nose the other day as well. Its probably the change in seasons. Have you tried using a humidifier/vaporizer while they'll sleep?

You can also put a little Vaseline up the nose to help coat the membranes. Just a dab will do as you dont want to clog the nasal passage.

Oh yeah I forgot about that too! Lanolin works too, and Aquaphor, I did that to myself last winter and it really helped!
