Thomas has 2 ear infections and is on day 7 of antibiotics. Elizabeth had her ears checked 7 days ago as well. The PED said they were fine. Today she woke up from nap and inside her ear was all bloody. She doesnt appear to be in pain and let me clean it out without an issue.

do you think it is anything?

Maybe they could have irritated doing her recheck? I would call the pedi to ask.

I agree with calling the ped. to check what they say. Jackie had several ear infections, and the only sign we had when her ear drum ruptured was a little blood in her ear. It healed back fine after the infection went away, but I would call just to double check what they say. I hope it's nothing! :hug99:

I just emailed her, I hope I hear back soon. We were just there yesterday for her Staph infection and didnt think to check her ears again.

Man, I feel like I live at the PEDS.

I hope it's nothing, too. And one day you won't go to the PED for a few months. The nurses have started to forget my name now. :hug99: for all the dr. trips. They aren't easy!

Could she have scratched herself? Hope it's nothing. :hug99:

I dont see any scratch anywhere. I searched her from head to toe. :) It wasnt on her hands either. However, when I used a flashlight to look in the canal, I didnt see blood there. She is a very waxy girl though and a previous pediatrician would miss the ear infections.

Luckily I love my new Ped because her and I are becoming close!

She seems totally fine. The nurse emailed me back (my ped is not in today) and said it is likely an ear infection but as long as she is happy and doesn`t have a fever it will likely clear on its own. She said she would forward the email to the PED in case!

I think I will take her in anyways!
