I went to the ob today for my first pregnancy exam, and they did a transvag u/s, and they said I had a blighted ovum. All we saw was the sac and the yolk sac. There was no embryo. So I guess I got pregnant but things didn't develop. I had a good hcg number when I had the blood test, but then I thought it was weird that I had no pregnancy symptoms, other than fatigue, but I guess that was just from taking care of the girls. So, it wasn't meant to be this time, but it gives us hope for the future and confirms that we can get pregnant on our own. Most of all I just feel really blessed to have two babies already. My dh is really upset about it and it really hurts me to see him this way but we'll move on from it. I go in for another u/s next week to confirm, and then it'll just be a waiting game. I hope things pass on their own so I don't have to get a d&c or take a pill. Anyways, I just wanted to let you all know.

Kristie, I am so sorry! [IMG] I know it was hard to get used to and that you and your DH were getting excited about your surprise pregnancy. I am gld that you can get pregnant on your own! That's just great!

Kristie ... Major Hugs! I understand, somewhat, as to how you are feeling. I had my pregnancy symptoms and then all of a sudden they began to disappear, then I started spotting. I was checked and my baby had died. It was early in the pregnancy but it hurt and still hurts. I will be sending you a PT in a few minutes to offer you some additional support.

The Parental Grief forum is available to you also. Please feel free to talk to us about your feelings, as you want or need too. Many hugs!

    I am so sorry!

Kristie, I am so sorry! I was following your story, and was very excited for you. I also lost a pregnancy early, and it was just so hard. I knew as soon as I looked at the u/s that something was wrong. I got a lot of support on the Parental Grief forum, the ladies there were so wonderful!! [IMG]

Thank you all ... I am glad they did the transvag at the ob - this way I know and don't continue to think I'm pregnant. They just got the machine, and if they didn't have the machine I probably wouldn't have known for a few more weeks when I got my first big sono. I just wish they had done it sooner so I didn't think I was pregnant for the last 3 weeks. Oh well -- thanks Laura, I will check out the loss board.
