Okay I had my csection 12 days ago. The menstral bleeding was heavy for 2 days and light for 5 and was pretty much completely done by 7 days. Last night I began some light spotting again and this morning it is pretty heavy and I passed a little bit of a clot the last time I went to the bathroom. Is this normal to begin bleedig again. I was actually shocked when the bleeding stopped so early, I just want to make sure everything is "normal" still. PS after a csection what is the limit for rest... I mean like no sex or excersize for 6 weeks with a vaginal delivery... how long do you have to wait for those things after a csection? Thanks... sorry if this is a bit "sensitive" any advice will be appreciated.

    Hi Briana!

My guess is that you overdid it yesterday, which is why your bleeding started up again. Take it easy! 6 weeks is what my OB told me. [IMG]

I agree with Becky. Briana, you need to take it easy girl! Its major surgery so you do need to take care of yourself and let yourself heal. [IMG]

Brian, I wrote almost the exact post a little over a month ago. I talked to my doctor and they said it was normal. Just take it easier for a couple of days.

I was told not to exercise for 6 weeks. No heavy lifting, etc for the same amount of time. Basically I was told to lift nothing heavier than the baby.

You should have a 2 weeks checkup with your doctor. So, I would call and ask he or she about the bleeding and when you can exercise. I bled for awhile (very lightly) for about three weeks. I started to workout, low-impact things two weeks after my c-section with my dr's go-ahead.
I would go easy until my doctor could see me. Is your scar healing ok?

Ditto, that is what I was told as well.

OKAY update. I ended up calling my OB because I was still a lil worried. He said all was normal because my uterus had gotten SO BIG with the twins it is still contracting down. He told me to take 3 IBProphen (sp?) every 4 hours for "several" doses and this should slow or stop the bleeding. Thanks for all the advice. The reason I asked the "time" question is because I have been feeling so freakin' good I and low and behold this is probably why I am bleeding again... I really dont feel like I am overdoing it, but more than likely I am doing more than I should. Thanks again.
