We have been using sleep sacks for the twins when they go to sleep. We love them, they love them. We call them "night nights" and they crawl right in for bed. As of yesterday both the zippers broke. I put them in long pant/shirt pajamas but to me they still felt cold in the night. At nap, without the night nights, the diapers were off and there was pee everywhere. Tonight I put them in footed pajamas on backward so they could not get them off. I don't know if this will keep them warm enough. I can not remember for the life of me when I stared to use blankets with my other kids. Any thoughts??

Around 2. I'd go ahead and do it! We used throw blankets at first.

I think we were using small blankets at 2. They were in beds with a light quilt by the time they were 2.5, so it must have been some time before that.

    Birth ;)

Shortly after my kids turned 2 we converted their cribs into toddler beds and used toddler bedding. Before that it was 1 lightweight blanket and 1 warmer blanket.

Mine just turned two and they started sleeping with blankets probably at like 18 months.

Between 12 and 18 months with small crocheted blankets. Around 2 we got them a twin sized sheet when they graduated to toddler beds (it was summer so too hot for blankets) and then that winter (2.5) they got fleecy bed sized blankets.

My kids have those baby blankets since very little (I dont even remember when). They use blankets just for comfort. They don't really cover themselves in blankets. So I always dress them in microfleece footed pjs at night. And I'm not comfortable enough to give them bigger ones. Not yet!

Currently (we keep the house cool) its feetie pjs and quilts. We started after age 1 when the risk of SIDS was reduced.

We started really early, when Alice would bust out of her swaddle and put the blanket across her face. And don't you dare take her blanket off of her face, she'd totally wake up and start screaming.

My kids have had very loose (big holes) crocheted blankets since October (they were 10 months). You couldn't suffocate in them if you tried.
