We tired biter biscuits awhile back a couple of times and I just didn't like them. The girls always seemed to get a chunk to come off. Now they eat so well I thought we would try them again. They did GREAT! They chewed away and only small pieces came off. They are teething so I think they enjoyed having something yummy to chew. Anyways, everything was fine until they got towards the end. They each wanted to put the entire piece in their mouth and it was way too big for that! So I took them out and tried to get them to still chew to no avail. I ended up having to take them away which of course made me into some type of horrible treat snatching monster. They screamed and screamed. I felt bad but don't want them to choke. Is there any solution to this problem?! I can see this happening with anything not in bite size pieces...

 I liked the Baby Mum Mums for teething. They weren't as messy and when that last piece went in, they dissolve so quickly it didn't worry me. Do they have molars yet? Once they do, they will be able to handle the bigger chunks. I was so surprised how much more they could eat with them.

I believe that is the teeth they are getting. Nothing has broken through yet but all the signs are there...

LOL... yea, I guess giving them another would have been the best solution!

I feel your pain. I HATE those things. They are messy and made me SO anxious. I used to be evil cookie-snatching mommy too. Then I tried putting them in the mesh feeders (this was before they had many teeth) and then finally I gave up on giving them to the girls all together. Just too stressful for me.

Mine do the exact same thing! I don't have a solution as far as them putting too much in their mouths at one time.

Sounds like they had fun with them - so sweet!

Sorry you had to endure the torture of ending a fun experience. We haven't really encountered that with food, but I do encounter it several times per day with other fun things, like coming in from playing outside and stopping playing to go take a nap (I can't think of good examples right now but it always hurts my heart to have to say no when they're enjoying something!). I think it's just a part of this phase called toddlerhood. Doesn't feel very good to be the mom when you have to do stuff like that, huh?

I used to be the mean mommy too! I did the same as PP and gave the another, and I eventually switched to the Baby Mum Mums, because they dissolved better and were less messy

It does sound like they had a great time with them. I used to have DH break them up before giving them to the kids. Mine have a habit of shoveling things in their mouth and spitting them out or gagging because they've put too much in there. Where can you get Baby Mum Mum's? I've heard people mention them and if they are less messier and easier for them to use, I'd love to give them a shot!

We [thankfully] never had that problem here as I came across Mum Mum's before I ever heard about them from anyone else. They were a huge success for parents AND babies :p

How about graham crackers? They are less messy too.

Just thought I'd update... I bought some mum mums the other day and the girls LOVE them. They gobble them up like crazy and there is pretty much no mess! Thanks for the suggestion!
