The girls birthday party is in just two short weeks. We are having a barney theme! They are obssesed with him, so sad he is not popular like he used to be bc its hard to find coordinating stuff to go with a barney theme when he is not in stores very often. We are having some appetizer foods and having it outdoors at my moms house, i plan to bring lots of outdoor stuff to play with and i ordered a barney pinata off line. But i was trying to think of a fun game to do or activity. maybe not to structured, or maby structed that they could enjoy doing! it was be 12, 2 year olds, 2, 1 year olds, a 4 and 5 year old!

any advice suggestions ideas would be great! thank you

At that age I wouldn't do anything structured. Maybe have a table set up with playdoh, and another with coloring pages, and some outdoor toys available to play with. I think trying to get 2 year olds to cooperate with a structured activity will only end up being frustrating for everyone. Even at my girls 5th bday party last weekend, not everyone bowled so it was good I printed coloring pages and brought lots of crayons.

    Have fun!

Ditto this. Trying to do any structured activity/game with children that young will likely be a nightmare. I was going to suggest a play-doh table as well, almost every child likes play-doh :good: (I have a great recipe for making your own dough if you want to have lots without spending too much, just let me know and I'll type it out). Bubbles are great too, either little pots if you think they can cope with blowing them or just get a bubble machine and the kids can chase them around.

If your moms back yard is big enough, u can rent a bouncy castle. Kids if all ages will go crazy. 2 yr olds can play as well.

I don't think structured activities will work with two year olds. Too many of them will be wandering around and not interested and you'll end up frustrated. I would simply put playdoh and paper/crayons out. Or if you wanted something that isn't an everyday activity, how about finger paints or finger painting with chocolate pudding? Each child's parents can supervise whenever the child is ready and interested.
