    Hi Ladies,
It's almost our turn to jump over here...just a few more weeks. The preperations have beun for out birthday bash. I ordered the cake and bought all the paper products. We have about 10 kids coming under the age of 2 and about 6 under the age of 10. Did you give goody bags?? IF so..what?? Do i need to? We are doing a swimming /bbq open house type thing. What is the norm for this? Thanks in advance...I am elated and sappy about making the jump over to this board. My DH thinks i am crazy and then other times he is right there with me. We were both crying thsi weekend watching all the video we took of our sweet little girlies. Advice??

I'm a couple of months behind you, but my SIL and I were just discussing this for me this weekend. I am a crazy party planner, the earlier the better. One thing I came up with a while ago is personalized M&M's. My SIL also mentioned she did bags with kisses in them one time. Another time she did fun stuff: bubbles, temporary tattoos, etc. I will be intersted to see the responses you get.

Happy almost birthday to your girls! :D

We just had ours and we had a Baby Einstein theme. I got goody bags (all of our kid guests were over the age of 3). I put flashcards, paddleball, fruit snacks, suckers and stickers in them. I have an nephew allergic to everything, so I couldn't oput many treats in them. They loved the goody bag. We also had a scavenger hunt for the kids with clues. They loved it and it kept them occupied for 15 minutes.

I did not do goodie bags, but instead my mom and I got a circle mold that said "Happy 1st Birthday" and we made chocolate and white chocolate bars on a stick, wrapped in cellophane and tied off with a bow and a note that said, "Thanks for celebrating with us on our 1st birthday. --Katelyn & Blake.

    They were a hit! :)

Didn't do goodie bags either...but then again I had less kids under 10. I did the personalized m&ms in a little round bag tied w/ribbon and had a wallet sized pic of the girls (got a lot free w/their one year pic package) attached to it...came out really cute!

Hi, we had a rock n' roll party for our boys first b'day. I got cheap t-shirts over the internet (about $3.00 each), got stencil letters and fabric paint from the art store and stencilled the words ROCK ON on the T-shirts. They looked so cool and expensive. I have asked everyone to take a photo of their child wearing the T-shirt so the boys can see who came to their first birthday party. I loved planning it.

I didn't do goodie bags for the boys 1st or 2nd birthdays. It was mainly just family so I didn't bother. I did do them for the 3rd birthday though because we had a "real" party.

You could check out www.orientaltrading.com It's a great site for get stuff for goody bags. That's where we got most of our stuff. They have such great things. We did bubbles (and there are sooooooo many different kinds. Just type in bubbles and you can probably find something for your theme). We also did little pencils. You can get erasers, those pencils that have the different colors in them, key chains, little bouncy balls and on and on. There is a plethera of ideas and things to choose from and the prices are pretty good. GL!

For my 2 year olds I did bags with a bag or two of the Welch's Fruit Snacks. They're good for them. For one year olds, you could do the Gerber Fruit Snacks or the Welch's ones. I also bought the individual wrapped bags of animal crackers and put one of those in it and then a Little Debbie PB&J Oatmeal snack cookie. That was all but it's plenty and relatively inexpensive.

I did personalized m&ms..green and blue for Dylan and pink and yellow for lilyclaire. I ordered 10 bags altogether and wrapped them in clear cellophane and tied with matching curling ribbon. i decorated one side of the room in lilyclaires colors and the other in dylans. it was really cute!!:)
