We were just invited to our 1st twins B-day party. I was planning on 1 gift for each child and signing both cards with my twins names. Is that OK or should each twin give each twin a gift?

    TIA!

This sounds like some kind of math problem. I don't think each twin has to give each twin a gift, that would be 4 gifts and be a lot of money. In this case I would probably buy 2 gifts, one for each twin of the party you are going to and sign both of your kids names on the card. So your twins together would give each of the twins a gift. OMG, did that make sense?

I think it depends on what you want to give them. You could easily give them a larger joint gift from the family. Or each their own gift from the family. Or each their own gifts, one from each of the twins. I would base it on the gift. No one is more appropriate than the other. I find that for birthdays my girls get a combination of joint and individual gifts and it's all good.

With our twin friend the unwritten rule is 1 present per birthday kid (or a joint present for the cost of 2 presents). We sign the card with both kids name. When they go to a singleton bday then we get 2 presents, one from each kid and might be a little less expesive then a typical present. DOes that make sense??

I also agree that one gift per child signed by both is the way to go. :)

Well I'm thinking each twin should buy each twin a gift, so I guess 4 gifts. Only becoz if I woz going to a singletons party we would buy 2 gifts, so 2 kids 4 gifts ahhhhhhhhhhh sounds crazy.. tha'ts wot I would do anyhow

generally we do one present for each child. But, for a singleton, one gift from each of mine.
