Birthday gift ideas - 4 yr old boy?

My oldest is going to her first friend BDay party on Saturday. She is so in to girlie things right now. I have no idea what to get for a boy. Any thoughts?

 

Andrew LOVES legos!

 

My Son's 4th birthday is today, and the first thing I thought of was lego's too. He has a bunch of the CITY legos (which are mostly vehicles). They say for 5-12, but he loves to help assemble them (and I love building them), and he loves playing with them. I do have to reasseble them often, but don't mind.

He also received a remote control car for his birthday, some puzzles, a giant I spy like book from Costco, and will get from us the Vtech Digital Camera.

The 3-7 line of Knex is good, as are Tinker Toys.

Any type of construction vehicle would also be popular.

Check and see if the boy likes trains, because then there is all the wooden train stuff too, if he collects that.

Well I have a couple 4 year old boys here and since we seem to go to another 4 year old boy's b-day party every week! .... Here are some things that we buy:

Matchbox or Hotwheel sets (shark attack park, monster jam)
Playmobil smaller sets of Pirate ships or Knight's castle
Bucket of Dinosaurs
Power Ranger or Transformer figures
Star Wars Lightsaber
Mutant Ninja turtle figures in vehicles
Walkie Talkies
Baseball automatic batter set
Superhero stuff (spiderman, batman)
"Cars" stuff
Professional sporting apparel ("Steeler" jersey, hat, t-shirt)
