birthday gift for 2 year old?

We're going into town tomorrow for the kids' checkups & also to pick up a birthday gift for their cousin, who's turning 2 next week. I checked with the grandma's & her mom to see what she needs, but they all said "nothing". So I have a little list of other things I know she's getting:

sit & spin
little ride on car
some kind of bouncy inch worm
push toy lawnmower


There were a few other things, but I can't remember them now. But they were mostly "active" kind of toys & I was thinking of getting something she could play with quietly, like maybe some puzzles or coloring books? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

 

Definitely puzzles or books.

My kids' all time favorite book that they read EVERY DAY is that Richard Scarry's Word Book. It has helped build their vocabulary and they can spend loads of time "reading" it alone, together, or with Mommy or Daddy.

 

I second books & puzzles, or some art type stuff.

She will use them a lot longer than some other toys! My 2s favorite books are Eric Carle, How does a Monster.... (series by Jane Yolen), and I spy (easy versions).

 

We got our 2 year old niece a toddler size sleeping bag (something she could snuggle in while watching TV or reading a book), personalized CD, and cash register (for when she plays with her play grocery food). She loves them all!

 

I already have lots of gifts for them for their B-Day and X-Mas. Some of the others I picked out were:
Mr. Potatoe Head
Fischer Price Bus
Little People things
Aquadoodle

 

Thanks everyone! I ended up getting her some Dora sippy cups, some bubble bath and one of those big Magna Doodle pads. My kids have the little travel sized ones & she loves to play with them when she comes over.
