I got the boys' birth certificates, and the birth times are wrong. Only by one minute -- Ace's says 9:32 pm (he was born at 9:33) and Nate's says 9:33 pm (he was born at 9:34). I know it's just one measly minute, but it bugs me. If it was your DS' birth certificates, would you have them changed??

For me a minute would not be worth the hassle of changing it. I understand how it would bug you, but there are bigger fish to fry....

I'm sure it doesn't matter at all if the times are wrong (unless you're really into horoscopes!), but I'd probably have it changed. Like you, that small mistake would bug me.

DD's birth weight is wrong on hers. We opted not to hassle with the change. So I guess if it were me, I'd just let it be.

I think I would want to change it, but then again my dd's middle name is spelled wrong on her birth certificate and my acutal date of birth is wrong on mine.

I wouldn't bother, but that sort of thing is unimportant to me--obviously its more important to you--if you don't mind the hassle of changing it, go ahead! :)

It would bother me too; mine were wrong but too much of a hassle to change it. it was more than a phone call to change so didn't bother doing it. just one more thing of paperwork for me to do lol.

Small things like this REALLy bug me. When they did the boys foot prints at the hospital they put the wrong boys names on the wrong foot prints I made them redo the whole thing.
I would change it if I were you.

That would bug me forever, yes I would have to change it!

ETA: When I was born, they had my weight wrong by a pound. I weighed 4 lbs 8 oz, they had 5 lbs 8 ozs. My mom never bothered to change it and it drives me CRAZY!

I called the office of vital records and they told me just to fill out a spot on the back with what it says now and what it should say, mail it in and they will send a corrected one. Easy peasy! :)

that happened to me too. DD was born 11.49 and DS 11.50, but everything says, 11.50 and 11.51pm. <_<

OMG your actual BIRTHDATE is wrong?!?! How crazy?!?!

and OP- I'd probably look into having it changed, not sure how big of a hassle it'd be though...

Since a birth certificate can be used so much in life, I'd go ahead and change it. Once it's done, it's done and you don't have to deal with it anymore. That's better than a lifetime of explanations about why it's wrong. :)

i have friends who are boy/girl twins and the times are put with the wrong names on their birth certificates. I think that he's older but on their certificates it says that she is and they just never changed it... i could see that causing trouble over the fight of "who's older" lol... I would say if it really bothers you that you should get it changed or else you'll probably regret not doing it.

DD's birth time is off by 30 minutes and it bothers me but not as much as the hassle of changing it does.

I disn't get a chance to read the other repilies. But, if it were mw, I would have it corrected. It would bug, me, too. Also, who knows why, if for any reason ever, you would want it corrected? I think the twins will appreciated having it "right". What did you decide to do?

Oh, I just read that you were taking care of it. One less thing to worry about!

They are pretty easy to fix... I know one of my kids had one of the names wrong...not sure if it was their name or dh's name...but then when they fixed it something else was made wrong too...so we had to fix it again! (I think they forgot the Jr. in dh's name...and I felt that was very important since I didn't have the babies with his father!! LOL!) pain in the tush though ....
