Birth Story

    I was admitted to hospital on 5/20 due to mild pre eclampsia/PIH. I stayed in hospital the duration of pregnancy due to high b/p and protein in urine. On 6/9 had scheduled c/s at 36w1d. HAd a hard time getting the epidural to work so they had to do spinal epi instead which worked beautifully. At 7:40am Alexis Riley came screaming into the world weighing 5.5 pounds and 18.5 inches long and at 7:41am Matthew Ryan came into the world screamign as well at 4.6 pounds and 17.5 inches long. Alexis and I went home on 6/13 and Matthew remains in special care nursery due to problems with feeding. He has to take 8 bottles in a 24 hour period for 2 days in a row and is now almost at 4 bottles. We are praying he comes home this weekend but we don't quite know yet. Anyway this board has been great and so so so helpful. I wish all of you a great labor and delivery!!!!
