Birth Story - 33 weekers!

I haven't written and almost 6 months and I will tell you why. I was a member in the beginning of my pregnancy and this help very much to read about everyone else's twin pregnancy experiences. I started to have complications however very early. Bleeding at 16 weeks, placenta previa that went away, funnelingof my cervix by week 20, week 21 a cerclage and strict home bedrest. By week 25 I was in the hospital in preterm labor. My contractions were opening my cervix and I was put on mag and terb shots! This only slowed the contractions a little bit, but the contractions never stopped. I thought I would lose my babies then! But after 2 months of complete torture on Magnesium and Terbutaline injections every 4 hours in the hospital on complete and strict bedrest I had my babies at 33 weeks. My cervix finally gave up and my water bag was bulging. The doctors decided they were coming ready or not! So my baby boy Eric and baby girl Julia came into this world. They are doing very well now, they needed to be ventilated and given antibiotics for infections but other than that they were remarkably strong and today are going on 3.5 months old and getting bigger everyday!

Good luck to everyone and I hope your pregnancies go a lot easier than mine did. The ride was rough but worth it to have such beauties in my arms now!
