birth announcements

i am feeling so guilty and horrible i havent done professional pics sooner.
i feel like my boys are changing so fast and still havent done my birth announcements.


is it silly at this point to do a birth announcement when my boys are almost 6 weeks old?

 

I don't think so. My boys were in the NICU for 11 weeks so when they came home I did a coming home announcement I didn't get that out until about 5 weeks after they came home!

 

You can definitely do a birth announcement at 6 weeks. You are a mom of infant twins, I'm sure everyone will understand if it's a little late. Oh, and I still have never taken my two for professional pictures!

 

We didn't send ours out until the girls were almost 3 months old. We had a photo announcement and wrote out our thank you for the gifts on the back. Killed two birds with one stone!

 

No, it's not silly at all! Don't feel guilty, you've had such a drastic life change. I'm sure people would love to see pictures of 6 week olds! That's not very old you know!

 

I had all mine made (yes I hand made them on bedrest) then just added the pictures in with their birth info when they were born. I also had the addresses on all the envelopes before the boys were born. They didn't make it out of my house until the boys were at least 2 months old! Everyone will understand.

 

not silly at all! I was very late... my pictures didn't even come back until the babies were 2 months old I think... were taken at 1 week... don't worry about being "late"... like the others said... you're a MOT

 

I sent mine out when the girls were 3 months old too! :blush: :lol:
I was wayyyy toooo busy for those first few months.

I didn't use professional photos either, I just used a really nice picture I took & then made it black/white. We used Tinyprints.com for our announcements & they turned out awesome :good:

 

heck, i never sent out a birth announcement (just a FB status update), so you'd be way ahead of me.

 

I sent ours out about 3 weeks ago. Most people I know don't send them until 2-3 months out.

 

We never sent them. DH was going to design an announcement, but we were so exhausted after the babies were born, he never got around to it. We did a blog post and sent out an email as soon as the babies were born. I guess that will have to be our announcement.

 

uh... I did mine at four months! It was such a cute pic though so I didn't feel to bad about it being so late!

 

Our announcements didn't go out until they were 2 1/2 months old...so I don't think it's too late at all!
