birth announcements

im just trying to get organized now so when the babies come, all i have to do is plug in the date, time, and weights.

where can i find some cute twin announcemnets?
i was looking for a card that can do one of the boys together and then one of them individually. i am not finding anything 'cutesy'

 

I bought my annoucements from tinyprints.com & just adapted the one I liked to include information for both babies with a picture of the two of them together :good:

I think there are a ton of sites (including the twinstuff store) that have twin birth announcements though!

oh ok - so did you not do a 'birth announcement' and then just a regular card and put pics on it?

 

If you search on etsy there are a bunch of twin birth announcements. I have one bookmarked that has a central picture of both twins and then on each side is a picture of the boys alone.

They have birth announcement cards there & I input a picture of the babies and then adapted the text part of the card to read their names/date of birth/weights/length/time of birth They were a bit pricey from that site, but there are a TON of places online to do that & I believe there are even some twin moms on here that create/sell them! You may want to post in the 'Parents Club' about who makes birth announcements & see what they have to offer?!

I also second going to etsy...there are people on there who have templates you can choose from or they can custom design one for you...then they send you the digital file and you take it (or email it) to a photo processing center and have them printed. I think I saw one where she charges you like $15 for the file and then you can take that file to walmart and print for like $0.17 each. MUCH cheaper than tinyprints. Or, for more money, she can print them for you and mail you the finished product. But that's quite a bit more expensive. Oh, and you would need envelopes...which you can order from envelopemall.com for cheap. The beauty of the internet is that you (or DH) can pull all of this together fairly easily during a nap time.

On another note, for me, I won't be able to decide on a specific announcement style until after we've had pictures taken. If the best shot is of them together, then I may want to choose a design that accomodates one large photo...but if we get good individual shots, then an announcement that can accomodate 2 photos...etc. So, while I know what I like and I have bookmarked a specific etsy seller who's style I like, I'll have to wait until after photos to really narrow it down.

You can even order the envelopes now if you know what size card you are going with. Once I finish getting everything ready for the babies, I am hoping to have enough time to address all the envelopes.

you can do any announcement you want and work with the seller on customizing it to fit two names, weights, etc.

The seller I bookmarked has a blog with all of her announcements...you can customize the singleton ones, have her design a whole new one for you, or choose one of the specific ones she has already made for "multiples" (there is a link for those on the right hand side of the page).
