Big toddlers, stroller question

Well, I was thinking about my kids and realized, the stroller (Graco Duoglider) holds up to 40 lbs per child. My son weighs 36 lbs now (at almost 2) and my daughter weighs 22 lbs. We will definitely need a stroller for at least another year and he will probably be bigger than 40 lbs (unless he stop growing now which we doubt). Any thoughts or suggestions on a stroller with a higher capacity that will still fit in a minivan? I hope that someone else has run into this dilemma and can offer a solution. Thanks!

I'm not sure it's much help, but the Combi Twin Savvy goes up to 90 lbs combined weight. You might find that jogging strollers offer a higher weight limit, but probably won't fit in your car easily.

Thanks. I just looked at the one. I guess I will have to do some research and end up with yet a third stroller. Question...and I know it has been asked...does it work really well in stores (malls, etc)?

Yes, it's the same width (or a bit smaller) than wheelchairs. So you can pretty much get it anywhere except stores that have really narrow aisles.

Thanks. As much as it pains me to get another stroller, I am not ready to chase two toddlers around the mall. :D

I have the Combi Twin Savvy and my girls are 37 1/2 lbs and 33 lbs - a lot to cart around. I just pushed them around Target today in it and its easy to push and folds up great! I haven't had too many problems getting around in the mall and stores or doorways (just make sure their hands aren't sticking out). For the zoo or other longer trips, we usually bring our jogger.

With the size my boys are, I'm sure I used our Graco Duoglider past the weight limit. Never had any problems. ;)

I am hoping it lasts forever... However, since he has not made it to two yet, just looking for options. His feet are hanging off of the other stroller as well as this one. At this point, he is about the size of a 3 year old/small 4 year old. We are hoping he slows down. Thanks!

He is going to keep growing but his growth is going to slow down since he approaching two years old. Same with your daughter. If you don't really want to get a new stroller, wait a while and see if you actually end up needing it due to weight issues. I doubt that you will.

Oh, I am just researching right now. I would have to find some money after finding the stroller. We are hoping he slows down. Everyone has said, he will slim down when he starts to walk. He walked at 10 months and there has been no slimming. Just trying to get ahead on research in case we have to get one. Thanks! Congrats on the newest addition.
