BIG SUPRISE

On Wed the 23 I went into premature labor. Went to the L&D and after trying to stop the labor with Mag-Sulfate I was still contracting and in less that 2 hours I was up to 6 Cm. and the bag of waters was bulging.the doctors tried but they did not stop the labor and we now have 2 very healthy little boys. By c -Section, Samuel James was born @ 11:36 P.M weighing 2 lbs 3 oz. and Damien Michael was born @ 11:37 P.M weighing 3 lbs. 13 oz., although born at 29 weeks both are doing well. They are both on room air and their Jaundice is clearing up nicely. We are looking at at least 5 weeks in the NICU but hopefully most of it will be as Feeders,Growers. Both are doing well with the breast mink I express so so far we are doing really well. I will give a longer birth story when we have the time. For now we just need all the thoughts and prayers we can get . TIA for everything.

Congratulations on the birth of your boys. Those pics are so precious! They are so tiny, but will grow to be big and strong before you know it. Hang in there and keep us updated on their progress.

Damien and Samuel sound like they are doing awesome for 29 weekers. My guys were born at 29 weekers and will be five in just over a month. Come see us in the Nicu forum when you get a chance or if you have any questions.

Congrats! Looking at the pics brings back memories. Whatever you do, do not feel guilty about the time you spend in the NICU. You have to keep yourself sane! My 27 weekers were in for 11 weeks. I had them out of town with a one year old in tote. But they are home and doing so well. I have been so lucky. Just visit as much as you can but don't beat yourself up if you can't be there all the time. I've seen NICU nurses tell Moms to go home and get some rest. A year from now you will look back on the pictures and the milestones (3 to 4 to 5 lb. parties) and not be able to believe it when you look at your giant children. Chin up!

Thanks to all for the prayers, vibes, and thoughts. Our boys are doing well and they are making great progress. Still on room air Jaundice is clearing up they will soon be oput from under the lights, they are gaining weight now and doing great. We will update as possible . Thanks,

Congratulations! My 29 weekers were 2 lbs 8oz and 2lbs 13 oz - and in the NICU for 10 weeks! They're 14 months now and doing fantastic! Come see us in the NICU forum with any questions you might have!
